Mechanical presses

Presses machine are vertical action machine tools for sheet metal shaping. Finished products are obtained by means of particular moulds, which permit to deform sheet metal making three-dimensional shapes.
Presses are mainly employed in the automotive industry and for the production of home appliances. We can have hydraulic and mechanical presses. In hydraulic presses, the force of warping the sheet metal is given by oil pressure, while in mechanical ones, the mouvement of the piston rod is given by the energy of a flywheel.
The surface dimension and the necessary force change depending on the characteristics of the part that must be produced.

Mechanical presses for sheet metal deformation exploit the energy of a flywheel powered by an electric motor to move a slide, which will apply a force on the several materials to deform. Products resulting from mechanical presses are greatly employed in automobile and appliances sectors.
